GYULA KOSICE

Born in 1924. Argentine sculptor, painter, theorist and poet. He is one of the forerunners of kinetic and luminiscent vanguardism. He studied drawing and modeling at free academies. Co-founder of Arturo Magazine , 1944. " Royi ", his first articulated and mobile sculpture, 1944. Co-founder of Arte Concreto Invencion (Concrete Art Invencion), 1945. Founder of the Madi Art Movement, 1946. Author of the Madi Manifestio, 1946. Edition of eight Art Madi Universal (Universal Madi Art) magazine issues. Invention of luminiscent sculptures, 1946, with neon gas being used for the first time the world over. Madi Art exhibition, representing Argentina at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles, Paris, 1948. He creates the hydraulic sculpture by introducing water as an essential element in his work, 1946. It is the first time that water is used internationally.

Father of the Hydrospatial City already announced in Arturo Magazine. (Man will not be exhausted on Earth). He has created monumental sculptures, hydrospatial courses, hydromurals, ect.

His works are included in museums and private collections in Argentina, Latin America, the United States of America, Europe and Asia.

Honoured with the title of " Chevalier dans l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres ", by the French Government and Honorary citizen of Buenos Aires.
