• Une invitation pour les artistes africains :

  Le site Afrique Virtuelle organisé par la revue "Leonardo " annonce la mise en place d'un service gratuit destiné aux artistes africains. Nous leur offrons un espace disque et un support Web. Ces artistes sont encouragés à soumettre des images et un texte présentant leur travail qui sera ainsi exposé dans une galerie virtuelle, à l'intérieur du projet " Afrique Virtuelle ".

  
  

• Nouveauté sur Afrique Virtuelle : L'ouverture d'une rubrique d'expression musicale :

  Afrique Virtuelle met en place une rubrique musicale ouverte aux expressions musicales contemporaines et traditionnelles du continent africain, dans son ensemble. Jeunes artistes, ou talents confirmés, vous êtes convié(e) à participer à ce projet. La participation est entièrement gratuite. Chaque musicien disposera d'une page web présentant son CV, sa discographie et quelques extraits de son oeuvre musicale.

  
  

• Afrique Virtuelle , c'est aussi une revue on-line pour les chercheurs et experts du monde africain qui s'intéressent à la rencontre des arts et des sciences.

  Fidèle à sa vocation de provocateur de rencontres entre les arts et les sciences, L'OLATS/Afrique Virtuelle invite les scientifiques à présenter leur travaux et faire part de leur expérience de la culture africaine. Ce projet s'adresse à des disciplines aussi diverses que l'histoire de l'art, l'ethnologie, l'anthropologie, la neurologie, l'ethnopsychiatrie, l'archéologie, ou la biologie.

• Invitation to Artists of African origin :

  The Leonardo/ISAST Virtual Africa site has announced a free service for African artists (painters, sculptors, photographers etc.). We are offering them free disk space and web support.These artists are invited to submit images and text on their current work which will be exhibited in a web gallery, part of the Leonardo Virtual Africa project.

  
  

• New on Virtual Africa : the opening of a Music section :

  Virtual Africa announces the creation of a music section opened to both traditional and contemporary musics of Africa. Young talents and recognized artists are encouraged to join the project. Participation is entirely free. Each musician will be offered a web page including a CV, a discography, and excerpts of his/her music.

  
  

• Virtual Africa is also a "On-Line journal" opened to scholars and experts of the African world who are interested in arts and sciences :

  Willing to instigate encounters between sciences and arts, Virtual Africa/OLATS invites scholars and experts of the African world to submit their works and share their experience of the African cultures. This project is opened to disciplines as varied as art history, ethnology, anthropology, neurology, ethnopsychiatry, archeology or biology, etc.
