- Tunisia, Tunisian Sahara and Tunis, February-April 1975, October-December 1975, March-May 1977 : research on socialization, play activities, games and toys among the seminomadic Ghrib population and on child protection in contemporary Tunisia; ethnographic and behavioural filming.

- Sociocultural research among North African and Turkish migrants in Ghent, Belgium, 1980-1990 and in Emirdag, Turkey, June 1988.

- Musée de l'Homme, Paris, France, 1980-1992, several shorter research periods on the collection of Saharan and North African toys of this museum.
