The first Frank J. Malina Symposium will be held at Texas A&M
University, College Station, Texas on Feb 22, 2002. Frank
Malina was the founder of Leonardo in 1967, but also an American
rocketry pioneer, first Director of the NASA JPL and a tireless
worker for international collaboration in UNESCO and the
International Academy of Astronautics.
This symposium will honor the lifetime artistic and scientific
achievements of Dr. Frank Malina. The program will consist of
distintuished scientists, engineers, architects, and artists,
making a series of presentations drawn from the left brain,
right brain creative spectrum that Frank Malina's many
diverse contributions collectively spanned.

The Symposium will also include a tour of the George Bush
Presidential Library and a banquet.
